As a person who loves trekking, music and has a mantra to learn new every day, Shriraam shares with us his diverse interests, hobbies, career motivations, and much more.

1. How do you usually start your workday?
I start my day on a ‘Zen Mode’ with a cup of coffee or tea (depending on my mood, LOL).
I start my work with fresh morning calls to plan our team’s contributions for the day. The remaining workday goes on with other client calls, discussions, and of course, end-to-end application development.
2. What are your main responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer?
I handle all front-end applications where I resolve server issues faced by our clients. I also coordinate with the back-end teams to identify and resolve issues. In addition, I handle and develop portals for our products in other environments.
My key responsibilities include identifying the root cause of an issue (front-end or back-end) and resolving them with the team. I carefully monitor our product flows and identify any issues that may occur.
Identifying, Developing, Testing, and Deploying is my magic spell!
Software Engineering is not only about writing codes for a known language but is also the exquisite process of design, that ranges from design reviews, architecture planning, resource planning, testing, sign-off, and go-live. And most importantly, it’s the teamwork that makes our dream work!
3. How have you grown through the years as an M2Peer?
I learned a lot of new things at M2P that are related to the products we have. Now, I have complete domain knowledge in Prepaid and Banking. It has been four years since I have been an M2Peer, and every day is filled with a lot of learning fused with fun.
4. Is there a quote/saying that motivates you?
I firmly believe and go by the ideology-‘Hard work never fails.’
I connect myself with the quote as it strives me to do hard work every day, and never made me fail. Also, I believe that learning is the key facet that motivates me.
5. What’s that one thing your colleagues don’t know about you?
Hahaha! There is nothing, to be honest.
I spend the most time in the office with my colleagues, so there is no such thing they don’t know about me! I like to cook, and I have been cooking vegetarian cuisine since 6th grade.
6. What inspires you the most about M2P?
“The Freedom to Learn”
M2P is a place where one can acquire end-to-end domain knowledge and learn how an application works. There are many such things here that inspire me every day. Also, having the freedom to learn and develop new things gives us the independence to explore beyond.
7. What’s your idea of a perfect day?
Honestly, the idea of having a day where I complete my tasks without any issues coming up would be the real perfect day for any developer. For me, completing planned tasks on the same day gives great satisfaction and the idea of a perfect day!
8. What was your career path before joining M2P, and how has it changed?
There are no massive changes before and after. Before joining M2P, I was in the same developing field for 1.5 years. And, now I have been with M2P for a full four years, wow!
The biggest difference would be the banking knowledge I have gained from here. Also, I have learned the complete domain knowledge and I owe my gratitude to all M2Peers for that.
9. What are your hobbies/ interests?
I love listening to music. When I say the word ‘music,’ the very next thing my mind pops out is the maestro and my personal favorite musician Mr. Ilaiyaraaja. And few other hobbies include car driving, trekking to mountain areas and hill stations, and visiting pilgrimage places often.
Not to forget, the team outings we go to relax and have fun with the team holds a major place in my heart.
10. Anything else you want to share about M2P?
The effort of each M2Peer is what we see as the fruit of success today! We are growing and reaching better heights with all the people here as one team.
